| The 8th Annual Frames Film Festival was held on the 27th, 28th 29th of January 2011.FRAMES, which is India’s largest undergraduate film festival, provides a unique platform for young students to showcase their talent in film making. FRAMES 2011 received entries from Muscat and London Film School besides several colleges across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. |

A ‘Road Safety’ rally was held on the 25th of January 2011. Flagged off by faculty members, the rally started from SIES College and ended at Inorbit Mall, Vashi; covering an area of 8.5 km. |
| Chief Guests Ravi Jadhav, Farooq Nadiadwala and Mujeeb Khan inaugurated the festival by lighting the lamp. Other eminent personalities like Rajiv Paul, Niranjan Iyengar, Gaurav Gera, Ashish Baldev, ravi deshpande, Minty Tejpal, Shilpa Rao, Prasanna Sankhe, Arun Khopkar, Dolly Thakore, Nikita Nigam, Pratichi Mohapatra, Justin & Uday and Priyanshu Chaterjee graced the festival with their presence this year. On the third day, Ganesh Acharya, along with the cast and crew, came to promote of his movie “Angel”.
FRAMES received extensive media coverage from media organizations like Times of India (Navi Mumbai),Hindustan Times (Navi Mumbai), DNA(Navi Mumbai),City Plus-Dainik Jagran (Navi Mumbai), Newsband, Lokmat, Sakaal, IBN Lokmat, Drishti, NMTV and A-Plus. Education Times was the official online media partner, DSN was the official outdoor media partner and OYE FM, 104.8 was the official radio partner of the festival. |
