| Activities for the period June - October 2010
|
| The members of the Conservation Club of SIES College, Nerul started their annual programme of activities with a ‘Jumble Sale ‘ to collect funds for the ‘NDTV /Aircel Save The Tiger Campaign.’ |
| Various old yet reusable household items, stationery, costume jewellery, clothes and shoes which were donated by the students of various departments were cleaned , washed ,spruced up and then put up for sale.The sale held on the 8th and 9th October 2010 was a great hit with the students and staff alike and helped in the recycling and reusing of many items. DNA newspaper gave the event good coverage and helped boost the morale of the Club Secretary Mr Kartik Pillai –TY BCom and the other enthusiastic club members. |
| The Club members participated in a ‘Rainathon’ organized by ICICI Bank in the month of September 2010.A tree plantation drive and a walk for awareness had been organized in which our club members took active part. |
| From its funds, the Club has recently purchased a steel cupboard to store various necessary items. The Club has various events lined up for the rest of the term namely a nature hike,a workshop on environment and health and a fun filled fair. |
