Activities for the academic year by various forums, clubs and departments

In the academic year 2009 – 10, SIES (Nerul) College of Arts, Science & Commerce conducted various events and a few more are either being conducted currently or are slated for the near future.
The activities are organized by the various committees headed by the staff of the college.
Given below is a consolidated report of all the different committees of the college. |
| ISO Committee |
| ISO 3rd surveillance audit was done in November 2009. We need to upgrade to ISO 9000: 2008 standards before the next audit. |
| Library |
| A book exhibition was organized on in January, 2010 where books were put up for sale at discounted rates. |
| Career Guidance Seminars for Students |
- Team India workshop on higher education in Travel and Tourism, Animation and design, Hospitality and Management Education, Beauty and Cosmetic Course in November 2009.
- Unitech India workshop on “Careers in Hotel Management” in December 2009 for Class 12 students.
- Unitech India workshop on “Higher Education in India” in January 2010 for TY students

| Discipline Cell |
| This year special emphasis was given on wearing ID Cards. A new concept of students participation in the discipline committee was initiated for which students from the NSS were selected. |
| Counseling Cell |
| This Cell undertook activities of counseling the students on an individual level and collectively. Counselling was done on issue like interpersonal relationship, lack of enthusiasm and concentration, motivation, behavior issues, psychological issues, Career Counselling, how to enjoy exams etc. |
| Staff Academy |
- Seminar “ The essence of Education” by Mr Subramanium was conducted for the teachers
- Seminar on Research methodologies by Principal Dr Meera Vijay
