| Like every year, the students of BSc. Computer Science, presented their annual departmental festival, “TECHNOVISION…. A RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF PERFECTION…..” It was a two day event and was conducted successfully on 23rd and 24th September, 2010.
The festival was a complete package of talent, intelligence and fun. Not only did the event conduct technical events but it also gave a blend of creativity to it by conducting events from the fine arts as well as literary arts. Apart from these events, the festival also conducted LAN GAMING.
The festival began on the 23rd September with the grand inauguration ceremony. The inauguration was done by the esteemed principal of the college, Dr. Meera Vijay and the coordinator of the BSc. Computer Science department, Mrs Alpana Pandey.
On the first day of the fest, around 17 events were conducted successfully. The technical events received the maximum response. It included interesting events such as Debugging, Morphing, Technical Presentations and PC Assembling. In Technical Presentation, the participant with the best presentation on IT related topic was given the prize. The prize was a feast of a trophy, a GIGABYTE motherboard, a certificate and an appreciation letter from the college.
On the second day, three seminars from reputed organizations were held on different IT topics. The first seminar was on Over-Clocking, the second one was on the topic Radio-Frequency Identification and the third one was on Architecture of Oracle 10g. They also presented a presentation on Real Application Clusters.
The seminars proved to be a great source of knowledge and information for the students as well as the teachers.
